On April 6th to 8th Team 2056 competed at the McMaster District event along with 37 other teams from Ontario. After 78 qualification matches, Team 2056 ended in first seed with an average ranking score of 3.66 and would captain the number one alliance selecting Team 1241 from Mississauga, Ontario and Team 6135 from Toronto, Ontario.
After winning both the quarterfinals and semifinals in two matches, 2056’s number one alliance would face the number three alliance of Team 4976, 5406, and 4308 in the finals. After winning the first match 410 to 331, the second match would be replayed due to a field fault. This repeat was a nerve racking match, but team 2056 and their alliance would come out on top 463 to 339, securing them their first blue banner of the season. The team went 18-0 at the event. Congratulations to 4976, 5406, and 4308 on an amazing finals.
After a great performance from the teams Chairman’s presenters, team 2056 would also go on and win the Chairman’s award, adding a second banner to their collection.
